Air Dispensary Service to start soon in Northeast

A long awaited program of Manipur Governor Najma Heptula – The Air Dispensary Service to soon start in the states of Manipur and Meghalaya. The news was told at the Manipur Assembly on Monday by Manipur Chief Minister Biren Singh. The main brain behind this idea was Najma Heptula and she said that she first heard of Air Dispensary Program in Australia during a visit and got inspired so she was willing to get such a program in India to help those who are living in far away areas in remote villages who need help as they are sick. It was told that 2 helicopters, one of them would be stationed in Imphal and the other one in Shillong. These helicopters would reach the people in far away areas of Northeast and will take them to nearby hospitals to get them treated.
