Tribal youths who climbed Mt. Everest felicitated

On Monday, S.Eswaraiah and Sandhya Bai who climbed Mount. Everest, were felicitated by the administration of Guntur. They hail from a tiny tribal hamlet Siluva Tanda, S.Eswaraiah is currently studying Intermediate and Sandhya Bai is pursuing her graduation in Vijayawada. They both hail from Veldurthi Mandal, Guntur district, Sandhya Bai wants to become and Indian Police Services (IPS) officer and she told that she had never imagined that one day she would climb Mount. Everest. She thanked the State Government and her trainers for providing such a great opportunity to her. After their felicitation, Collector Kona Sasidhar said that the Government would provide drinking water, roads and all other amenities to the hamlets of climbers. He said that pucca houses would be sanctioned for the Siluvatanda tribals. He announced that both S.Eswaraiah and Sandhya Bai were lifetime invitees for the district youth festivals and he also appealed to the youth to take inspirations from them.
